Shata Dhauta Ghrita is ghee that is washed 100 times with water to make it soft and cream-like for external use. Its name is derived from three Sanskrit words: Shata (one hundred), Dhauta (washed) and Ghrita (ghee).
The ghee is repeatedly washed, which softens its texture and makes it easier to spread on the skin. Gaurisatva follows this traditional method using A2 Cow Ghee and a copper vessel.
